Ingredients

  • 2 cm Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 3/4 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 3 Potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Ajowan seeds
  • 2 Onions
  • 3 Tomatoes

Steps

  1. Prepare a paste from Ginger and Garlic{4%cloves} by blending with a bit of water.
  2. Prepare a spice mix of Turmeric , Cumin Powder , Coriander powder , Salt , Garam Masala and Red Chili Powder .
  3. Boil Potatoes and set aside.
  4. Heat a pan an add a good amount of oil to it.
  5. Once it's heated up, add Fenugreekseeds{1/2%tsp}. Once the seeds start getting brown, add Cumin seeds and Ajowan seeds . Once the fenugreek seeds are black, lower the heat.
  6. Slice Onions and add, fry until transparent.
  7. Add the spicemix to the pan. Cook for about 30 seconds, stir to prevent the spices from burning.
  8. Add the ginger garlic paste, cook until the garlic smell goes away.
  9. Now add Tomatoes and cook for a few minutes.
  10. Add the cut potatoes and mash them. Also add the kidneybeans and mash them a bit.
  11. Finally add Water{300%ml} and cook for 10 minutes while stirring.
